Totes come in a variety of colors, sizes, and styles. Here are some key features to look for when buying personalized tote bags.

There are three popular fabrics used in totes.

  Canvas

  Canvas is a medium weight fabric woven from large cotton fibers that provide a rough but durable texture.

  Cotton

  Cotton is lightweight made from more delicate cotton fibers and offers a smoother, more refined look.
• 

  Recycled Materials

  Synthetic tote fabric can be recycled plastics or nylon fibers. Grocery shopping totes use this kind of fabric for easy cleanup.

Pro Tip: Beware of online retailers selling cheap custom bags. These inexpensive bags are used as promotional giveaways at trade shows or events. They generally last just long enough to get back to the hotel room. You will not find any of these flimsy bags for sale at Corporate Casuals.

The length of the handles is important because they are generally fixed. Short individuals may have trouble hand-carrying bags with long handles. Tall people may find shoulder carry a bit tight when the handles are too short.

  Traditional Tote Straps

  Bag handles are about an inch wide, non-adjustable, with a rounded section for your hand to grip.

  Adjustable Straps

  Adjustable length straps allow for a better fit.

  Wide Straps

  Wider straps are great for toting a heavy load of books around. Padded straps even better when carrying that heavy load of books to the bus stop (uphill both ways of course).

Some totes offer an accessory pocket on the outside to provide easy access to a cell phone or keys.

The bag's bottom may have fabric installed to provide a platform.

  Bags with a bottom gusset are better for carrying items like groceries.

  Bags without a bottom gusset are slimmer and better suited for carrying a laptop or magazines.

You can generally embroider a tote bag on either side. If there is a pocket, we typically embroider your logo above the pocket. Most tote bags can easily accommodate a 3-inch by 4-inch logo or larger.
